With the emergence of sophomore Derrick White, fans have been draw some excitement on rookie Lonnie Walker IV. Unfortunately before season started he was injured and out for several weeks. When he came back he spent most of his time in Spurs G League affiliates team.
Then lately he found some playing minutes and showed a lot of promise to be the best someday. He’s athleticism was his strength on that even opponents can’t say but wow.
No question about his defensive skill as his hand was quick to steal the ball. He isn’t afraid to drive to the basket or even cut and knows where the wide open teammates are.
Lonnie doesn’t stand on the corner to wait the ball just to impact the game, he ran all over the court to find open space to score.
Walker IV will be special off the bench next year and will had a lot of minutes. Drafting him means Spurs find another talent who they can build for the future.
