Report: Tony Parker Jersey will Retire in November

According to a report from French outlet LeParisien, the Spurs will retire Parker no. 9 on November 11th after they host the Memphis Grizzlies.

Tony Parker will be given a tribute ceremony by the San Antonio Spurs his NBA team for 17 seasons on November 11th. That night the Spurs will host the Memphis Grizzlies at the AT&T Center floor for a regular season game.

Parker retired this past summer, as he feels he couldn’t compete for a title anymore.

I decided that I’m not to play basketball anymore. A lot of different stuff ultimately led me to this decision”, Parker said. But at the end of the day I was like, if I can’t be Tony Parker anymore and I can’t play for a championship I don’t want to play basketball anymore”.

The report is right, Parker was the third member of Big Three that Jersey will be retired. Duncan was last December 2016 while Ginobili last March. The point guard from France played 17 seasons for the Spurs. Win four titles and Finals MVP in 2007. He is an All NBA and had multiple All-Star with the Spurs. Parker played one season for Charlotte Hornets. Which he missed a playoff for the first time in his career.
