With the win over the Warriors, Spurs are the king of overtimes

The San Antonio Spurs win a must game they need to end the year. Defeated the undermanned Golden State Warriors in overtime 117-113. For at least two months they finally get the top eight spot even in a losing record with 14-18. They are the king of overtimes as they went five times and win four of it. DeMar DeRozan leads the Spurs with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. While big man LaMarcus Aldridge had 17 points and 12 boards. Dejounte Murray provides the hustle and must need points in overtime had 15 points and five assists. As usual Patty Mills lead the bench with his 18 points.


The team is 7-3 in the last 10 games, only the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets have a better record in the same amount of games in Western Conference. Even the Warriors had a hot start leading 10 points most of the game until the third quarter. The Spurs slowly chop it and take the lead. DeRozan gave the Spurs the lead with 17 seconds left in the game but the Warriors made another to tie the score. Aldridge had a chance to win it before the buzzer sounds but he failed to sink in that game went to overtime.


In overtime, Dejounte Murray leads the Spurs to a win. He made a steal and scored in transition. While he made a clutch three before the clock expires then he found the cutting Aldridge for an easy deuce while he making his way to the basket. The veteran Patty Mills sealed the game with his free throw to give the Spurs a four-point advantage.


The San Antonio Spurs are much more improve and showing what are they really worth. They dominated the Memphis before losing to Dallas. Bounce back against the Pistons in a blowout.


Spurs are really starting to work things in their favor. Everyone knows their roles and responsibilities. The veteran’s steps upon scoring and leadership. The bench had different heroes in every game. The young squad chemistry is getting better. Spurs know how to regroup themselves when they are down. They are dominant when leading the game. Spurs basketball is almost on their momentum. When there are 50 games left, the top eight is in a tight race. The Spurs will give importance to every game.
