Tony Parker the Underrated Point Guard

He didn’t get the hype but he did the job done well. Parker never mentioned as a great point guard of his era. They had Steve Nash, Jason Kidd in early 2000 as the top point guard. Chris Paul, Deron Williams in their prime was on top than Parker.

Media didn’t have an effort to put even as top five. They had Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, and Russell Westbrook. These guys are the best in their positions. But all of them beat by Tony Parker in every playoff match. Nobody with them wins the Finals MVP which Parker won in 2007. The first point guard forms Europe and Chauncey Billups in 2004.

This point guard put big numbers like triple-doubles. Even Stephen Curry the two time MVP yet to win a Finals MVP. Steve Nash who also a two time MVP loss to Parker four times in playoffs and just won once.

People always take credit to Tim Duncan but Parker was the best player in the last three Finals. The point guard from Paris was hard to stop with his quickness. He runs the Spurs offense for 17 years who never missed playoffs.

Parker doesn’t have a power dunk or range around 40 feet. No killer crossover just a teardrop and midrange. But he finds success with this. An All-Star, four-time champion, All NBA and Finals MVP. A career that most hype point guard never fully achieved in their own.
