This could be the Spurs 8 game schedule look like

The NBA is back on July 31st and the San Antonio Spurs are one of the 22 teams that get an invite to continue the season. All teams will play eight games to determine the seedings. Then if the ninth seed is more than four games behind the eight seed, the number eight will make the playoffs. But if the ninth seed is four games or less behind the eight, they will play for a tournament to get the final spot. The San Antonio Spurs are four games behind Memphis Grizzlies.

According to some sources who told Yahoo Sports, Vincent Goodwill quoted “the plan is for teams to continue their schedule as planned, with the next 8 games. If a team is scheduled to play Hawks/Bulls/Pistons, it moves onto the next game on the schedule”.

The Spurs could play the Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz twice, Memphis Grizzlies and the Sacramento Kings. The Spurs are 5-4 against these teams as they beat the Jazz twice. They’re 1-2 against the Memphis Grizzlies who’s been a favorite to get the final spot before the season suspended last March. They up 1-0 against the Pelican in which Zion Williamson made his debut game on which he exploded for 17 straight points. Spurs have a 1-1 against the Kings that they win wildly on overtime but blew a lead to Denver.

This could be record-breaking for San Antonio Spurs if they can fix their group to be in the next level of competition. The veterans have a lot of responsibility to carry the team. LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan could lead the scoring load while the likes of Dejounte Murray and Derrick White will try to minimize the perimeter.
