Spurs need leadership above everything

Another defeat for San Antonio Spurs as they suffer their seventh straight loss. The first time I’ve seen for the franchise after watching them for 18 years. This time it’s against a lowly team Washington Wizards. A team that ranks dead last defensively and without the service of John Wall.

Spurs gave up 75 points in the second half shows the lack of effort defensively. As we mentioned before the Spurs are losing because they aren’t bad. San Antonio is still a good team who lack the leadership to carry the team when they needed the most. The rotation is the main reason why they can’t really dominate the game in full 48 minutes. The continues refusal of Coach Pop to get his best weapon on the court. It’s the guys who can play gritty defense.

The most important thing is they need a guy who can be a leader for them on the court. Spurs veterans and youngest seems they lost themselves when opponents leading the game. A guy who can put them one together, who can communicate with all of them. This is one of the Spurs problems when they had no more Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker the guys who’re Pop extensions on the court. That’s why Pop put Patty Mills on the court to provide it.

Winning games need good players but to close out they need leaders. LaMarcus Aldridge seems to lose his confidence when his game is sub-par. Dejounte Murray had inconsistency, still young to take over this role. If the team can figure it out who can give them confidence that they are better when they played as a team. They can start playing good 48 minutes of basketball.
