Here are the four guys who made the most to help the Spurs for a back to back win.
After a bad performance in the last two games, Bryn Forbes came out on fire in the second quarter. Made seven from the arc out of his eight tries. It was a huge run to give his team a 15 point lead that went up to 20 points. In total, he tallied 24 points. Forbes can’t miss a shot in the second quarter as he made before the buzzer. He misses his next three in the second half until he made a huge one in dying minutes to give the Spurs a lead.
Stellar performance off the bench by the point guard, he did his best to take a close win. Made four treys out of his five attempts as he finished 25 points with seven assists without a single turnover. White has been spectacular in offense driving to the lane for some buckets and dishing fouls. Maybe this is one of his most dominant game after the Game Three of playoffs against the Denver Nuggets. Derrick White has been underrated defensively as he defending Devin Booker to work for his points.
Maybe this is the bad game of DeRozan in a month, but he manages to put huge numbers. HAd 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists on a 5 of 15 from the field. DeRozan keeps on attacking the basketball, being aggressive he went to the line 9 times. Keep on feeding the ball for his teammates. The big one is when he found Bryn Forbes wide open which the later sinks the shot.
The big manage on his own to be aggressive offensively and blocks shots in the rim. Manage to get 19 points 3 boards, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. He made the right decision about where to take his shots. He also went to the line eight times. By keeping himself away on the rim he opened the driving lane that leads DeAndre Ayton to follow him outside the paint.
The Spurs are now 19-23, still a ninth-seeded in the West and half game away with the Memphis Grizzlies. They are looking for the three-game winning streak that they will face Zion Williamson and the Pelicans.
