For the second game, the San Antonio Spurs lost their second scrimmage game against the Brooklyn Nets 124-119. But this one they improved as much as their first one. Derrick White led the team with his 22 points in just three quarters. He added 2 rebounds, 3 assists, one steal, and two blocks. White also made four triples.
The Spurs got a lead in the fourth quarter but wasn’t enough when Keldon Johnson commit his final foul. Bryn Forbes and Marco Belinelli combined for 29 points after playing the whole final quarter.
For the Brooklyn Nets, Caris Levert had 27 points. He got help from Tyler Johnson and Rodions Kurucs with 17 points each.
Lonnie Walker who started once again looks comfortable as he scored 14 points. Jacob Poeltl got 12 points and 11 rebounds. Coming off the bench Drew Eubanks had 14 points who looks to get more minutes in the next eight games for the Spurs.
Spurs’ final scrimmage game is on July 27 against Indiana Pacers.
