The Spurs already clinched the playoffs last night when the Rockets win over the Kings. Tonight the Spurs came back from a double digit deficit in fourth quarter, but in the last two minutes of regulation they can’t do good and lost to the Kings 113-106. Sacramento Kings swept the season series against the Spurs 3-0 and first win in San Antonio since 2012.

Gregg Popovich has been ejected with 9 minutes left in third quarter, when official made a bad call for the lost ball after Derrick White stripped the ball on Harrison Barnes. Lamarcus Aldridge 27 and 18 with his career high 10 offensive rebounds was not enough to beat the upcoming young guns of Sacramento. Dearon Fox made a floater to give the Kings a 5 point lead with 27 seconds left in the game, wherein Spurs has no answer in the last 2:53 of the game. Aldridge who started hot and scored 18 of his 27 points in first quarter was cooled off in the next two quarters.

Buddy Hield led the Sacramento Kings with his 26 points with four triples. The Kings had been out of playoffs and now it was 13 years ago, where the Spurs knock them off. Their players at that time were Kevin Martin and Ron Artest.

Meanwhile, Spurs who had five games left was tied to Oklahoma City Thunder at 7th and 8th seed. They had the current best streak on ALL four major sports with 22 playoffs appearances, which earlier this season, Spurs are out of the picture.
