Rudy Gay: Spurs will make history

Before the NBA gets suspended the Spurs is 27-36, 12th in the Western Conference, 4.5 games behind eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies, and avoid a season sweep against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Spurs can still make the playoffs with 19 games left. With key games against the Memphis, Denver, Utah, and New Orleans.

Rudy Gay, San Antonio Spurs forward believes the Spurs can make the playoffs for the 23rd straight season.

“I knew we were going to go on one of those streaks where it would happen, and we would be there, I always felt, the whole time.” I was hoping, and then usually we do, just go and straighten it out before the playoffs.”

When the season resumed in the last week of June as a tentative plan the Spurs can make the shot for the history. Currently, its Popovich is the longest-tenured coach that been in the postseason for the last 22 years.

For the Spurs that struggling all season long, they can make the playoffs once they can be a 7-3 record which could be possible in the next ten games as per schedule. The team who started 3-0 just record their second three straight win in January.
