Re-Drafting Derrick White Draft Class Two years later

The draft class from 2017 was full of hype and potential future star. With the Sixers, trading picks to get the top pick. Then Lavar Ball talking to the media that his son Lonzo was the best but gonna be number two. Because he wants his son to be a Laker. Markell Fultz was the undisputed top pick overall.

Three of the top five picks already traded. Fultz for the Magic and yet to fulfill his potential because of injury and confidence. Lonzo Ball was one of the pieces traded to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis. Phoenix Suns out of patience with Josh Jackson after two seasons.

With the great improvement, last season White considered as high as 11th pick. Originally selected at 29th, he made headlines with his Game three career game. Also the heroics he did in Game One of the last year’s playoff. On his class, White and Mitchell leading their team in scoring on some playoff games.

This will be another huge season for him. As he will likely improve his minutes. Means the more responsibility he had as a point guard. The numbers he put up will be increasing. With his good defensive play, this is what made him better than others on top with him.

White the only guard who blocked six times in the recent years. If he continues to do what he started, he will be as high as the top five picks. The Bleacher Report picks Mitchell as they first pick. Next is Fox, Tatum, Markannen, Ball, Collins, Abedayo, Isaac, Kuzma and Allen.
