Prospects that can be a perfect replacement to Bryn Forbes role

The undrafted guard from Michigan State already made his due to the Spurs. His role is to hit three, Forbes did it efficiently as he shoots 40% of his attempts. But his skills are limited to that side of the court only. The guard is part of the team who’s been at the bottom of the league defensively. Undersized that been bully by his man, giving him extended minutes hurt the team. Opponents try to attack Bryn Forbes’s weakness to create a good scoring opportunity.

The Spurs need a 3 and D guard or forward to replace him at the starting unit. If the team can find another marksman, the Spurs could be an elite defensive team.

In the coming NBA Draft, there’s a lot of prospects who can play Forbes role. Here’s the top three that Spurs can take a look.

Tyler Bey, Junior at Colorado

The junior college from Colorado is a good prospect as a 3 and D, a good scorer on his own. Scoring 13 points and nine board in 29 minutes per game out of 31 appearances. Tyler Bey is projected to be pick from 10-25 of the first round. His more than a shooter, he’s not afraid of attacking the lane if given a chance. Bey attempts more free throws, as he only zeroes attempt in just one game. He’s perfect from his spot not forcing a shot. The junior shoots 53% from the field and 42% from the college arc, add to his effectiveness the 1.5 blocks and steals per game. If we presumed DeMar DeRozan will play for the Spurs next season, the team could be highly dangerous as they can play a shooter that can defend well. Spurs slashers like DeRozan and Murray got another target for a kick-out pass.

Devin Vassell, Sophomore at Florida State

A perfect prospect for the Spurs can play either guard or forward. Vassell is only 19, which got a lot of things in his game. Already shooting 42% from the three in college basketball with a high defensive ceiling. Although he’s not aggressive to attack the basket. His career-high in college is 29 points being perfect from the arc with 7-7.

Deni Advija, Maccabi Tel Aviv

The top international talent is moving down lately in the draft board. Report that the Spurs send a scout to look at his development in Europe. Don’t look into his box scores, the got potential to be a superstar. An athletic freak who can play the best defense on his team. Teams are high on him to pick at the top five if he’s still available the Spurs likely to snag him.
