Nikola Milutinov: San Antonio never show any interest to bring me to join the Spurs

The Spurs pick in 2015 speaks that San Antonio never showed interest in him if they’re going to bring him in the NBA. Nikola Milutinov from Serbia played his last five seasons with the Olympiakos. He considered one of the best big men in the Euroleague now. About his future to the Spurs right now is uncertain.

To go there, I need to be invited to go there. I never had something official from them. It was only just talking. They were never serious about taking me, and I cannot go there by myself.

They need to show me their will to take me and they didn’t in the previous years. I don’t regret it.”

Trough 24 games last season with Olympiacos, Milutinov average 10.3 points in 65% shooting and 8.2 rebounds. He’s 2017 Greek League Most Improved Player, 2 time Greek All-Star, and two time Serbian League champion.

Recently, Nikola Milutinov signed a 3-year deal with CSKA Moscow but when he feels he’s ready to the NBA he will take the opportunity to play.

I don’t think about the NBA because I know where I will be next season. Maybe in the future, I will think about it again about going there.

The Spurs used Nikola Milutinov to be a draft and stash in 2015 to get more cap space to sign LaMarcus Aldridge as one of the biggest signings the franchise has.
