Richard Jefferson faced the San Antonio Spurs in 2003 with Jason Kidd leading the Eastern Conference in NBA Finals in two consecutive years both lost. A tough series for San Antonio led by the MVP Tim Duncan who wins in six games after both teams split the first four games. Tim Duncan put the monster numbers in the game title-clinching game six with almost a quadruple-double.
Jefferson has been a champion in 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers 3-1 comeback against the Golden State Warriors. He played a good role in that series which he provides hustle. But the first two trips were in his prime produce big numbers.
The Spurs acquired him in a trade-in 2009 to be the fourth option in scoring. He improved his shooting and his defensive skills but he never lives to the expectation of his contract. The Spurs traded him to the Golden State Warriors in 2012. Then he became a journeyman before landing to the Cavaliers in 2016.
