Derrick White leave the game early in the third quarter after he was hobbled to get up when he tried to make a layup. It was when his left knee collided to Jrue Holiday. Prior to that, it was at the end of the first half when Holiday’s first collision on Derrick White knee that makes him stay on the court for at least a minute.
When he left, Spurs have a 20 point lead but the Pelicans managed to chip it slowly. But the Spurs stay on their poised as DeRozan scored 14 of his 27 points down the stretch.
“He just got his teeth knocked out and came right back with brand new teeth. Hopefully, he comes back with a new knee,” said DeRozan.
Derrick White lost his tooth in the very first game of the bubble against the Sacramento Kings but he finished the game and the Spurs still win 129-120.
