The Spurs point guard underwent an MRI procedure in San Antonio this morning as Micheal Wright tweeted. That revealed a right calf strain, the team says. The injury occurred during the Spurs-Cavaliers game on March 9. After he finished 17 points, 7 rebounds six assists and 6 steals in an overtime loss. The Spurs are now five games behind the eighth seed and with injury, to LaMarcus Aldridge and Jakob Poeltl, the Spurs need to put a miracle for the quest in the playoffs race.
Dejounte Murray is the starting point guard and with significant improvement in his game, the Spurs future looks bright with him. A developed mid-range and taking over the games at a time make him more valuable. Murray improved his turnover problem late in this season. With more touches, he scored 20 points in multiple games. His three-point shooting is efficient more than what we’re expected. This kid is a defensive player candidate for years to come that he shows an amazing display every game.
The fourth-year guard from Washington college is coming back from an ACL injury last season he suffered in the preseason. It keeps him to get fully developed from his potential.
