With the players back in practice just to prepare to finish the season, others are afraid of the risk of injury.
But for the Spurs guard Dejounte Murray, he’s no thinking about that thing. The guard is on the focus of how he can improve himself to help his team.
“I just take it for what it is,” Dejounte said to reporters. “I’m a basketball player and this is my job at the end of the day.”
“Everybody has been competing but at the same time I think everybody is taking care of their bodies,” Murray said. “You got a great group of staff that’s always here for massages or stretching whatever you need for your body.”
Before the NBA suspension, Murray has been ruled out and done for the season. Bit the four months layoff helped him to get healed.
“You either going to get hurt or you’re not,” he said. “I don’t fear anything. I’m a fearless type of dude.”
Dejounte Murray was out for the whole season last year with an ACL injury. When the season starts, last October Murray has been limited in minutes. Usually, he didn’t play at the end of the game. He’s averaging nearly 25 minutes a game to preserve his health and not force that can lead to injured himself.
With injuries to LaMarcus Aldridge and Trey Lyles and the importance of every game, Popovich likely to extend his minutes this time.
