Ballislife: Amare Stoudemire dominated Tim Duncan in 2005

The Spurs win the series via 4-1 against the Phoenix Suns in 2005 all the way to the Finals and win it all in seven games against the Detroit Pistons. The Spurs legend average 27 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. While Amare Stoudemire had 37 points and 10 rebounds.

Although, Amare Stoudemire had his numbers the game wasn’t close as the final score is not even close with the flow of basketball. For example, Tim Duncan isn’t Sun’s big man’s primary defender. In big moments, Duncan helps his team. When the game went close, Duncan made two huge screens in which the Spurs scored 8 points from it. In-game three, down the stretch Duncan scored 2 or three consecutive possession while Stoudemire disappeared.
