Back in the day, Michael Jordan predicted Tim Duncan to be great

Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time, no doubt about it he did it on his own beating teams without teaming up on proven talent. His Airness has been a six-time champion which social media yet to use and millennials yet to born. Prior to his second retirement, Jordan already predicted Duncan will be special.

There’s a lot of talented guys in the league, you can go with Grant Hil, you can go with Kobe Bryant, you can go with Shaq, or you can go with Duncan. Duncan probably, all the fundamentals, the all-around game. Don’t sleep on Tim Duncan”.

Tim Duncan is in the rookie year when Michael Jordan hit a dagger to Utah Jazz hearts. The Spurs improved to 37 wins in his rookie season which a record that broke by the Boston Celtics in 2008. San Antonio lost to Utah Jazz in the second round on his rookie year, the Spurs loss in a combined of four points in the first two games.

The next season, Duncan led the Spurs to a 37-13 with a lockout season then an impressive run to the first championship. Then the rest is history, 17 years later Duncan gets his fifth title on six runs. A lot of accolades and battles against great guys in the league.

Bill Simmons said Tim Duncan is the greatest more than Kobe or Shaq. The Spurs big did it in a small market to win. To put San Antonio on the map around the world is something special that someone can’t do.
