With the Governor’s Cup coming soon, the Aces tap the former North Carolina alumni Justin Watts to replace Brendan Dawson. Mike Harris was the former import of thee Alaska who help them reached the final last year.
Justin Watts had a record of being a winner since his college days. He is a member as a freshman of the 2009 North Carolina NCAA Champion team. He played a total of 27 games and four of them in the NCAA Tournament.
After he went undrafted in 2012, he went overseas to pursue his career. He played in Queensland League, dominating the competition by scoring 20 points per game. Justin Watts help his team to secure a title on his first professional career. He also played in a Mexican league and racking numbers. Suited for 21 games, two of them came from playoffs.
Justin Watts had a lot of experience of playing basketball overseas. He played for Japan, the Dutch league, Poland and Qatar. He also went to European League and his current team before Alaska found him.
He is a shooting guard or small forward in basketball. It seems like he is a scorer as he averages almost 20 points in his car. Alaska needs another scorer aside from Chris Banchero and Jeric Teng or Vic Manuel. They need a go-to guy to save them in the clutch. With a lot of games, Watts played on his career, hopefully, he is perfect for Alaska.
