The USA Overcome a Rough Start to Beat the Czech Republic 88-67

It looks like the USA isn’t ready in the tournament for the first seven minutes. Both teams traded misses and the USA was down by four with three minutes left. Then before the first quarter ends the USA made a 10-3 blast to had a slim lead. Donovan Mitchell scored 16 to lead the team. In the second quarter, the USA starting to gain momentum and building a 14 point lead.

The defense was the main factor for the Americans. They force the Czech Republic to 15 turnovers and they made a bucket most of it in transition. Harrison Barnes and Kemba Walker poured 14 points each, Jayson Tatum had 10 points. The Americans shoot 50% from the field.

They held the Czech Republic to 67 points and 41% from the field. The USA is unstoppable in transition and nobody can match their elite athleticism. They already figured it out after the struggles they had in Australia. Mitchell who finds his way to the basket and made two threes.

The Gregg Popovich squad will face Turkey on September 03. If ranking matters this the toughest as they ranked 17 in the tournament. The game will be scheduled for 8:30 Asian time.
