A fans perspective, top duos this season.

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, Los Angeles Clippers

The reason they are on top was Paul George was third in MVP voting last season and personally believe he was top three in defensive player of the year award. Kawhi Leonard was the Finals MVP after leading the Toronto Raptors. Then the last full season he played for the Spurs he is a top three in the world. General Managers in the leauge also believe that Kawhi was the best player now.

2. LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers

They should be on top, but I think Lebron James will continue to slow down. Even he had more helps offensively this year, we can’t deny the fact the James getting worse defensively. Davis on the other hand will had a great year when he is fully healthy and an MVP candidate. The Lakers can win it all when the big man can play big.

3. James Harden and Russell Westbrook, Houston Rockets

The MVPs of the last two seasons before Giannis Antetoukoumnpo.Westbrook was an upgrade over Chris Paul. At this point Harden was one of the best offensive players of all time. The two are elite playmakers who can takeover the game anytime. Westbrook will take some of the load off Harden and vice versa.

Once healthy Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will included. The two are both champions, both clutch but injury prone or damaged goods. No one predicting how healthy Durant can get back too but before he went down he was a top two player. Kyrie is a proven second option on a championship team.

We will consider the Splash Brothers also once healthy. But I don’t really feel they are still the best backcourt in the league from a pure talent perspective.
