Dejounte Murray: I’m healthy and excited to be back

Missing the whole 2018-19 season with an ACL tear after a career year winning the All Second Defensive team. Standing in front of reporters on media day with a smile. Murray hardly contains his excitement as he talked about his comeback from the first serious injury of his career.

” I’m ready to play basketball, ready to learn, ready to get better.”

The San Antonio Spurs who lost the first round in second in a row will open their training camp today. They will hist the Orlando Magic on Saturday for their first preseason game.

He asked as what encouraged him about his team ahead of training camp.

” We’ve got a lot of dogs, a lot of dudes with a chip on their shoulders.”

The Spurs point guard injured in a preseason game in Houston last year. Popovich said they had some restrictions on his playing time.

Murray who is ready to take the starting job full-time last season before the injury. He was the youngest to make an All-Defense team with only 21 years old. He took over the starting job replacing Tony Parker midway in the 2017-18 season. His returns boost the Spurs showing on both ends of the court.
